Full-Time Visiting Professor for EFL Speaking and Writing Courses

Job Overview

The Department of English Education at Kyungpook National University (KNU) invites applications for a visiting professor position (full-time, non-tenure track) beginning March 1, 2024. Located in Daegu, KNU is one of the nine flagship national universities in South Korea.

Qualifications
· Native English-speaker
· M.A./M.Ed. or Ph.D./Ed.D. in English Language Education or relevant field
· 2+ years teaching experience at the university level

Responsibilities
· Teach at least three undergraduate and/or graduate courses (9 credits) per semester, including “English Conversation” and “English Composition”
· Design undergraduate courses that will efficiently prepare students for the Public Secondary School Teachers Exam
· Supervise undergraduate students’ drama practice by teaching “Using British and American Drama to Teach English” (summer session with extra pay)

Contract
March 1, 2024 ~ February 29, 2025 (1 year). Renewable pending successful review.

Salary
Commensurate with education and experience (3,041,000 ~ 3,180,000 KRW / month)

· Copy of alien registration card (back and front)
· Certificate of Criminal Records from your home country (issued within 6 months of job start date) with Apostille. If your country is not a member of the Apostille Conventions, your embassy must certify the document. You also need Certificate of Criminal Records from every country in which you have lived for more than a year. Notarized translation is required for non-English documents.
· Other documents required by KNU (format will be provided)
