Postdoctoral positions for Condensed Matter Group “High Pressure, Spectroscopy, Spin Dynamics, and Topology in Quantum Matters Supported By Brain Korea 21 Fellowship.”

The Condensed Matter Group at Hanyang University is looking for several postdoctoral fellows supported by Brain Korea 21 Fellowship. The postdoctoral fellows will benefit from the active collaborative environment with several experimental and theoretical groups and from the opportunity to develop their own independent research topics.

The research topic focuses primarily on the following themes:

– High Pressure and High Magnetic Field Experiment (http://hpl.hanyang.ac.kr/)

– Frustrated magnetism, quantum spin liquids (https://sites.google.com/view/moonjippark/)

The initial appointment will be for two years, with the possibility of an extension for another two years. According to qualifications, the salary would be 40,000,000~50,000,000 Korean Won annually (Approximately 31,000~41,000 USD).

Additionally, a postdoctoral position is currently available in the aforementioned Condensed Matter Theory Group led by Prof. Sangmo Cheon at the Department of Physics, Hanyang University, South Korea.

We are interested in a wide range of subjects of quantum condensed matter theory, such as topological phases, topological superconductors, strongly correlated electron systems, and quantum information science. The position will initially be for two years, with the possibility of an extension. According to qualifications, the salary would be 40,000,000~60,000,000 Korean Won annually (Approximately 31,000~50,000 USD).

The starting date of the position is flexible. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in physics or closely related fields before the beginning of the position.
